What are the Advantages of Mini Dental Implants?

Watch this video to learn more about mini dental implants and how they are an ideal option for replacing missing or damaged teeth.

Some people want to know why we do mini dental implants as opposed to conventional. And there’s a lot of advantages to the mini dental implant. One of the advantages is you don’t need as much bone in order to have it placed with conventional implants. A lot of times the surgeons need to do bone grafting, which is a separate surgery, and needs to take 9 to 12 months to heal before the implant can be placed.

A lot of times with mini implants, you don’t need as much bone. We can place the implant right away and we can also restore them right away. Unlike a conventional implant where you have to wait 6 to 9 months to actually restore the implant with minutes, we’re able to restore them within 2 to 3 weeks. That’s a big advantage.

They’re also less costly. There’s less post-operative discomfort with the mini implants. Patients love them. I’ve been doing them since 2010, and they’re just working out very well.
