Some people ask us, what is gum disease? Basically, gum disease is an infection in the gums caused by bacteria that basically eat away at the bone that supports the teeth. A normal pocket around a tooth would be 2 to 3 millimeters. Anything more than three millimeters would be considered gum disease, either mild, moderate or advanced. So what we do is we offer a free consultation.
